Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I travel outside of Bali without my passport?
A: Yes, you can travel anywhere within Indonesia without your physical passport, as long as you have a clear photo of your passport and visa stamp showing your arrival date. Upon request, we can also issue a sponsorship letter confirming that your passport is currently held by immigration.

Q: What happens if my visa expires while my passport is still with immigration?
A: There’s no need to worry. As long as your visa was submitted to immigration before its expiry date, you will not be charged any overstay fees.

Q: Will I get my passport back on the same day as my biometrics appointment?
A: No, your passport will remain with immigration until the visa process is fully completed. We will return your passport to you once everything is finalized.

Q: What is an overstay, and how much does it cost?
A: An overstay occurs when you stay beyond your visa’s validity period. Immigration charges a penalty of IDR 1,000,000 per day for each day you remain in Indonesia past your visa expiry date.

Q: Is my passport safe during processing?
A: Yes, absolutely. Your passport is securely held by the Indonesian Immigration Office throughout the processing period.
